The answer is are. We're includes you, and you weren't eating the breakfast, so that cancels out. Is is used for 1 thing/person, so that can't be true, since it could be the cats, then it would be more than one.  It's not was, since if it was past tense, then it would be were, not was. So that only leaves are.

What does extraordinary hospitality mean to you? Can you give an example of that?
puteri [66]

Ok, so for starters, "hospitality" means, in a nutshell, caring for something or someone. Extreme hospitality is caring for someone more than is needed. For example, if you are staying at my house, hospitality would be cooking you dinner and serving it, extreme hospitality would be asking what you want to eat, or doing your laundry or something.

DiYanni, Robert. Literature: Approaches to Fiction, Poetry, and Drama. 2nd edition. McGraw-Hill, 2008
erica [24]

Answer:

Hi.

This book presents different approaches primarily for students, beginning with interpretation and evaluation, with an emphasis on connecting texts and creating critical thinking about literature. In addition to presenting elements of literature and their literary analysis, it best balances some classic, modern and contemporary works, making a combination of well-known writers with newer writers. Finally, it presents a great coverage of writing in literature, which makes this book an exquisite and rich text for the introduction to literature courses.

Read the sentence.
madam [21]

The answer is

Yet.

A coordinated conjuction is a word that joins or coordinates two senteces together, in this case the word yet is conectint he was but a child, and giving meaning to the whole sentece by conecting to he did so much for others, if you read it without the yet, the sentence looses force in the statement.
