An electrically neutral molecule has the formula C3H4O2N. If the carbon atoms form the usual number of bonds, how many covalent

bonds will each hydrogen atom have with other atoms in the molecule?

Each hydrogen bond will form ONE COVALENT bond with the other atoms in the molecule. Hydrogen has only one atom; to form a covalent bond, it has to donate one electron and the other atom that hydrogen is bonding with will donate one electron also, making two. These two electrons will be shared between the two, making the atoms to have two electrons each.

dexar [7]

Answer:

The correct answer would be - C) the shape of a molecule determines how it functions in chemical reactions

Explanation:

The molecular shape of the molecules is one of the important characters of the molecules. It is important due to the fact that molecular shape determines how a molecule will react and interact with other molecules.

The shape of the molecules determines boiling point, melting point as well as various chemical reaction by determining the bonds. For instance, H2O or water has a tetrahedral shape which affects its bonding and properties. If molecules were linear in shape there would be no life existed.

Thus, the correct answer would be - C)

Which level of biological classification do Mammalia and Hominidae represent, respectively?
cupoosta [38]
The answer is class and family.

Taxonomic groups are used for biological classification. There are eight main taxonomic groups: domain, kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus and species, with the domain as the most inclusive and species as the least inclusive. If we take a look on Mammalia and Hominidae classification, we can assume that Mammalia represents class, and Hominidae represents family:

1. Domain: Eukarya

2. Kingdom: Animalia

3. Phylum: Chordata

If the frequency of an allele is 0.75, how many copies of this allele should be in a population of 300 diploid individuals?
Ray Of Light [21]

I have provided the options below:

a. 150

b. 225

c. 300

d. 450

e. 75

Answer:

150

Explanation:

Hardy-Weinberg law states, the allelic frequencies of a gene that is, q and p follow the relationship p^2+q^2+2pq = 1, if the population is in equilibrium.

Therefore p^2+q^2+2pq = 1, can be used to calculate the percentage of the allelic frequencies i.e. p^2 and q^2

Allelic frequency = 0.75.

Therefore, the percentage of the allele in the population would be given by

0.75^2 = 0.5625 = 56%.

And the total number of individuals with this allele in the population:

number of individuals = 56×300÷100

= 168 or

150 nearest figure.
