Vaccinations is a strategy that is used by public healthcare providers to reduce the amount of people that gets infected with the influenza virus (commonly called "the flu"). Although vaccinations aren't 100% guaranteed, they have been proven to prevent certain viruses and diseases.

The outbreak of influenza caused many hospitals to post articles about how to avoid the flu and they have recommended to minimize the contact with influenza by taking of your hygiene and staying away from family members/friends with the sickness.
