If one honeybee makes 1 twelfth teaspoon of honey during its lifetime, how any honeybees are needed to make 1 half teaspoon of honey ??

There are a fews ways you can set this problem up. Here is one way

So once honey bee can make 1 / 12 of honey  so we can say $\frac{1}{12}x$ but the question at hand is how many honeybees are needed to make 1 half teaspoon of honey or we could say 6/12 teaspoon. SO know our problem looks like the following

$\frac{1}{12}x = \frac{6}{12}$

Now all we need to do is solve for x
$\frac{1}{12}x = \frac{6}{12}$
$x = 6$
So it would take 6 honeybees to make 1 half teaspoon of honey.
