First, set up a porportion to help you answer the question. Put percent paid/100 is equal to sale price/ original. The percent paid would be 75% because if the chair is 25% OFF then you would pay 75%. So then you would define your variable (I'll use x). X equals the original price. So, 75/100 equals 90/x. Then you can reduce 75/100 to 3/4 and cross multiply to get 3x=360. Then you would divide both sides by 3 to get x=120. So the original price of the chair was $120

Find the mean median and mode of the data set round to the nearest tenth 15,13,9,9,71,11,10,13,1,13
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

Organize: 1, 9, 9, 10, 11, 13, 13, 13, 15, 71

Mean: 16.5

Median: 12

Mode: 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean (average): 1+9+9+10+11+13+13+13+15+71 = 165     165/10 = 16.5

                                                                           10-> how many numbers

Median (middle #): 1, 9, 9, 10, 11, 13, 13, 13, 15, 71

(11+13)/2 = 12 <---11 and 13 because there are two middle numbers, so you calculate the average of those two #s

Mode (most frequent #): 1, 9, 9, 10, 11, 13, 13, 13, 15, 71 --->13 appears the most

RUDIKE [14]

Answer:

y = 1/9 x z^3

Step-by-step explanation:

y is jointly proportional to x and z^3

y = k * x * z^3 where k is the constant of proportionality

y =12, x = 4 and z =3

12 = k * 4 * 3^3

12 = k * 4 * 27

12 = k * 108

12/108 = k

1/9 = k

y = 1/9 x z^3

Which of the following statements are equivalent?
x - y = 2 and x = y + 2
Basile [38]
I’m not sure I understand the question. The equations you posted are equivalent. To take x - y = 2 to x = y + 2, you add y to both sides of the equation.

I’m happy to answer more if you let me know in the comments.
