Mrs. Riggs loved teaching math. She always strived to show how cool math is to all ages. One day, she took her students for a field trip to the zoo. It was almost halloween so it was chilly. The students were having lunch and playing frisbee while Mrs. Riggs talked with the zookeepers. They were surprised she was able to take all her students. When the teacher walked back over to her students they were doing a backflip competition. Mrs. Riggs didn’t want anyone to get hurt so her and her students packed everything up and got in the bus to go back to school. It was dark out and the tvs in the charter bus were playing kid president. They students almost all fell asleep on the bus ride back but a plane passed over the bus waking them all up. The next day at school, Mrs. Riggs tried and tried again to get the students enthusiastic about math. She even wore a tutu and crazy glasses. It took time but the students slowly eased into liking math more.
