Answer:

Decomposes are essential to maintain the cycle of nutrient, mass and energy

Explanation:

Decomposers lie at the highest trophic level of an ecosystem. When an organism lying at tertiary trophic level dies, the decomposers convert the dead remains of organisms into simpler organic compounds and elements which mix into the soil.

These simpler organic compounds and elements are taken up from the soil  by the plants as nutrients essential for their growth. A well grown plants becomes capable to produce food for all other organism.

Thus, decomposes are essential to maintain the cycle of nutrient, mass and energy

Decomposers and scavengers break down dead plants and animals. They also break down the waste (poop) of other organisms. Decomposers are very important for any ecosystem. If they weren't in the ecosystem, the plants would not get essential nutrients, and dead matter and waste would pile up.

Imagine a population of rabbits with fur color that ranges from black to white. If this population were put in an area that has
baherus [9]

Answer:

The correct answer would be "the population size of gray rabbits would decrease".

It can be explained with the help of disruptive selection.

It is the selection in which extreme phenotypes are chosen or favored over the intermediate values.

For example, here the extreme phenotypes (white and black fur) provide the survival advantage due to camouflage and thus are selected over the intermediate fur color, that is, brown fur.

Thus, the number of brown rabbits would decrease in number.
