For example, the 1rst Amendment protects people's freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition, the 4th Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures of property by the government, the 5th Amendment guarantees the right to due process of law, the freedom from self-incrimination and double jeopardy and the 10th Amendment gives people and the states "reserved powers" in order to secure that the government do not deny states some of their rights.
