An interpretation always has a personal opinion or thought about a particular situation or character.
For example, some writers describe Merlin as a normal magician, while others describe Merlin as a powerful wizard. It happens the same with Dracula. Some writer's describe him as old and others as young.
It all depends on the writer's criteria or point of view.
There could also be a different interpretation for the reader too. For example, some people could think that Frankenstein was a terrible, heartless monster, while others felt sorry for him and understood his behavior.
