Answer:

Ration between the volumes = 64:729

Step-by-step explanation:

If two pyramids are similar and ratio between the lengths of their edges is 4:9

Then we have to tell the ration between their volumes.

Since volume of pyramid V=\frac{1}{3}l.w.h

Let length and width of pyramid one are l and w.

So volume of one pyramid V_{1}=\frac{1}{3}.l.w.h

Now by the ratio of 4:9, edges of the second pyramid will be

L_{2}=\frac{4l}{9}

W_{2}=\frac{4}{9}w

H_{2} =\frac{4}{9}h

Therefore volume of second pyramid V_{2}=\frac{L_{2}.W_{2}.H_{2} }{3}=\frac{\frac{4l}{9}.\frac{4w}{9}.\frac{4h}{9}}{3}=(\frac{1}{3})(\frac{64}{729})l.w.h

Now ratio of volumes of both the pyramids = \frac{V_{2} }{V_{1}}=\frac{(\frac{64}{729})(\frac{1}{3} )l.w.h}{\frac{1}{3}l.w.h}= 64:729

Answer is 64:729 will be the ratio of their volumes.

Need help with question 15
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

k=110

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 15) we know that

n=klog(A)

Solve for k

That means ----> isolate the variable k

k=n/log(A)

we have

n=440\ wolves

A=10,000\ mi^{2}

substitute

k=440/log(10,000)

k=110

Q5.Jumbo is standing on top of a cliff looking at a speed boat out at sea.The vertical of the cliff from the base (sea level) to
Leni [432]

Answer:

A) 150 m

B) 180.28 m

Step-by-step explanation:

A) In order to find the horizontal distance from the base of the cliff to the speed boat, use the Pythagorean theorem to calculate the length of the missing side.

We are told that one of the sides is 80 m and the hypotenuse is 170 m. Therefore,

 • a² + b² = c²
 • (80)² + b² = (170)²
 • b² = 170² - 80²
 • b² = 22500
 • b = 150

The horizontal distance between the base of the cliff and the boat is 150 m.

B) Now, the side that was 80 m is now 100 m (includes the height that the helicopter is above Jumbo). The horizontal distance remains the same, 150 m, but the hypotenuse is different. Solving for the hypotenuse will give us the distance between the helicopter and the speed boat.

 • (100)² + (150)² = c²
 • 32500 = c²
 • 180.28 = c

The distance between the helicopter and the speed boat is 180.28 m.

Expand in logarithmic expression
olchik [2.2K]
ln( \frac{m^{5}}{n^{2}})^{3} =3ln( \frac{m^{5}}{n^{2}})= 3(ln({m^{5})-ln({n^{2}))=3(5ln(m)-2ln(n) = 15*ln(m)-6*ln(n)

The answer is 15*ln(m)-6*ln(n)
