Answer:

Carlos hit 36 runs

Marty hits 37 home runs

Andrew hit 35 home runs

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Let M represents the Marty  , C represents the Carlos and A represents the Andrew.

Now we are given that In one season Marty, Carlos, Andrew hit a total of 108 home run

⇒ M+C+A=108  --a

we are also given that Marty and Andrew together hit twice as many home runs as did Carlos,

⇒M+A=2C  ---b

Also, Carlos had one more home run than Andrew.

⇒C=1+A   --c

Now put equation b in a

⇒2C+C=108

⇒3C=108

⇒C=108/3

⇒C=36

Thus Carlos hit 36 runs

Put value of C in equation c

⇒ 36=A+1

⇒35=A

Thus Andrew hit 35 home runs

Now put values of A and C in equation a to get value of M

M+36+35=108

M+71=108

M=108-71=37

Thus Marty hits 37 home runs

Hence Carlos hit 36 runs

Marty hits 37 home runs

Andrew hit 35 home runs

Answer:

Let M represents the Marty  , C represents the Carlos and A represents the Andrew.

As per the given statement:

In one season Marty, Carlos, Andrew hit a total of 108 home runs

⇒ M+C+A = 108             ......[1]

It is also given that Marty and Andrew together hit twice as many home runs as did Carlos,

⇒M+A = 2C                 ......[2]

Also, Carlos had one more home run than Andrew.

⇒C = A+1                      .....[3]

Substitute equation [2] into [1] we get;

2C+ C = 108

Combine like terms;

3C = 108

Divide both sides by 3 we get;

C = 36 hit home runs

Substitute the value of C in [3] we have;

36 = A + 1

Subtract 1 from both sides we get;

A = 35 hit home runs

Substitute the value of A and C in [1] we have;

M+36+35 = 108

or

M+71 = 108

Subtract 71 from both sides we get;

M = 37 hit home runs.

Therefore, each player hit:

Carlos = 36 hit home runs

Andrew = 35 hit home runs

And

Marty = 37 hit home runs.

Billy collects marbles. Each marble in his collection weighs about 4 ounces. His collection weighs about 20 pounds in all. About
ki77a [65]
Billy has 80 marbles in his collection.

There are 16 ounces in a pound so we can form a equation 20 x 16 = 320
Then, we do 320 divided by 4 which gives us the figure 80. Hope this has helped you.
