We have to use conservation of momentum here.
So m1*v1=m2*v2
where m1 and m2 are masses and v1 and v2 are velocitis
We can easily tranform our formula to get m2
m1*v1=m2*v2 \\  \frac{m1v1}{v2}=m2
Now we can substitute our data
m2=\frac{80*10}{8}=100 [kg] - its our result

A cone and a cylinder have the same base and height, as shown below. A cone is inside of a cylinder with same base and height. T
Paul [167]

Answer:

28pi cubic inches The volume of the cone is one-third the volume of the cylinder

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the formulas

Volume of cone =  (1/3)* π r^2 * h

Volume of cylinder=  π r^2 * h = 84 pi cubic inches

Volume of cone = (1/3) * volume of cylinder = (1/3) * 84 * pi =  28 pi cubic inches

Darina [25.2K]

Answer:

1. x = -7

2. y = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

1.

-3x - 5 = 16              add 5 to both sides

-3x = 21                    divide -3 to both sides

x = -7

2.

-4(y-2) = 12             distribute -4

-4y + 8 = 12             subtract 8 from both sides

-4y = 4                divide -4 to both sides

y = -1
