In the 1670s, English planters from Barbados established themselves near what is now Charleston. Settlers built rice plantations in the South Carolina Lowcountry, east of the Atlantic Seaboard fall line. Settlers came from all over Europe. Plantation labor was done by African slaves who formed the majority of the population by 1720. Another cash crop was the Indigo plant, a plant source of blue dye, developed by Eliza Lucas.

So technically, South Carolina became a colony for its fertility and its products that could grow in the crops.

Blizzard [7]

Her inference that the African American student was more likely to start the fight is an example of stereotyping whereas her behavior of suspending that student but not the other one is an example of discrimination.

Stereotyping simply refers to the generalized belief about a particular group of people. Discrimination is the act of making unjustified distinctions about a particular group of people.

Since she stated that the African American student was more likely to start the fight, this is an example of stereotyping and the fact that she only suspended one student is discrimination.

1. In your (supported) opinion, what, if any, is the difference between "police community programs" and community policing?
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

Answered below

Explanation:

Community policing has to do with the familiarisation of police officers with the community I'm which they are working in. In community policing, individuals partner with traditional police forces to work together to make their neighbourhood safer and to minimize crime. This creates a bond between the police and the community.

Police community programs are programs set in place by the police to enhance further integration of the police and community. Awareness programs on crime, meetings with religious bodies, youth organizations and schools, and provision of humanitarian services to poor communities, are examples of police community programs.
