Gia spends 2\5 of her money on a shirt and 4\9 of her remaining money on shoes. What fraction of her money is left?

2/5 + 4/9 is equivalent to 18/45 + 20/45 which equals 38/45. 

45/45 - 38/45 = 7/45 of her money is remaining
