Answer: Her speed is 4.4 m/s, and her velocity is 0 m/s.

Step-by-step explanation:

Required formula :

\text{speed}=\dfrac{\text{distance}}{\text{time}}  (Scalar quantity)

\text{velocity}=\dfrac{\text{displacement}}{\text{time}}  (Vector quantity)

Given : The length of track = 400 meters

She has to complete four laps around the track.

Then , the total distance = 4\times400 = 1600

Time taken yo complete race = 6 minutes = 6\times60 = 360\text{ seconds}

[∵ 1 minute = 60 seconds.]

\Rightarrow \text{speed}=\dfrac{1600}{360}=4.44\text{ m/s}

i.e. Her speed is 4.4 m/s.

Also, when she completes each lap , the starting point is equal to the terminal point , it means the displacement would be zero.

\Rightarrow\ \text{velocity}=\dfrac{0}{360}=0\ m/s

Thus , her velocity is 0 m/s.

So the statement that best describes her speed and velocity : Her speed is 4.4 m/s, and her velocity is 0 m/s.

Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

a. x = 82 degrees

b. All angles less than 90 degrees are 65 degrees and 33 degrees and 82 degrees in an acute triangle.

Step-by-step explanation:

A triangle has to equal to 180 degrees, add 65 and 33 together to get 98 degrees, subtract 180 from 98 to get 82 degrees.  Part B is self explanatory.

I need help on number 9. I don’t even know how to start
Elan Coil [88]

begin by pulling 2 out of the numerator using the distributive property.

numerator: 2(16x^4 - 25)              and now factor

numerator: 2(4x^2 - 5)(4x^2 + 5)

Now go to the denominator. It looks messy but it will break down.

Pull out 4x^2 for the first two terms and 5 for the last 2 terms. Use the distributive property.

denominator: 4x^2(x - 3) - 5(x - 3)  now x - 3 is the common term.

denominator: (x - 3)(4x^2 - 5)

Put the two results together.

\dfrac{2(4x^2- 5)*(4x^2+5)}{(4x^2-5)(x-3)}

After canceling out 4x^2 - 5 on both the numerator and the denominator, you are left with.

\dfrac{2(4x^2+5)}{(x-3)}
