Roosevelt is telling the American public that maintaining an isolationist policy amidst the war will not protect them. All the freedoms that he listed on his speech would be threatened by the march of the Axis powers and it would be a matter of time when they have to confront this threat.

Franklin D. Roosevelt was performing the " Four Freedom" speech through the time of the world war which was a period of suffering between Americans. He is declaring that Americans should not accept that they are totally safe from the war and should be prepared to make certain deductions to defend not only the United States of America but also the foundation of the world. Roosevelt is also making clear that if Germany happens to win the war the American government may fall.

Which is the BEST revision for sentence 23? Tiny plant like bacteria use a process called Chemosynthesis in which they absorb ch
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

B). Tiny plant-like bacteria use a process called chemosynthesis in which they absorb chemicals and minerals from the underwater hydrothermal vents.

Explanation:

The most appropriate revision for sentence 23 would be 'Tiny plant-like bacteria use a process called chemosynthesis in which they absorb chemicals and minerals from the underwater hydrothermal vents.' It correctly employs hyphen(-) to join two words 'plant' and 'like' in order to produce a single adjective prior to the noun 'bacteria' to modify it. Thus, option B is the correct answer.

Yes, I agree because Dr.King was someone who wanted to have both whites and blacks together instead of separated, as he had many speeches talking about black and whites being with one another.

What does the author’s language reveal about his tone toward the American Electoral college system? What rhetorical strategies d
Bumek [7]

Answer:

The author, Mike Kubic, has a negative tone towards the American Electoral college system in his 2016 article The American Electoral Process.

He is describing how it is unfair, costly, convoluted, not-entirely democratic, and with dubious results.

 • Unfair, because of the fact that some states (primarily, smaller ones) have more representatives per capita than their bigger counterparts.
 • Costly, because the candidates spend millions, if not billions of dollars running their campaigns.
 • Convoluted, because it takes many months, if not years to prepare.
 • Not-entire democratic, because the people don't vote for the president directly, but rather for representatives who will then choose the president.
 • With dubious results, because of the "super delegates" as well as the case of George W. Bush v. AL Gore he mentions in the article.

He uses many rhetorical strategies to support his perspective, primarily ethos: using quotes, numbers, and statistics to depict the unfairness of the system.
