Universalism is the believe that there is a fundamental truth and idea that can be applied universally. the concept derives from our generalization of a truth within norms and beliefs or cultures regardless of the context on which these are applied. this is seen in religious universalists that believe that all religions are the same regardless of their contextual differences in belief.
Credentialistic meritocracy refers to the practice of basing an individual's success and status in society on their earned crendentials or individual talents and capabilities.
Universalism to a large extent is reflected in credentialistic meritocracy as we observe today's world and even in the past. Individuals with rare and outstanding abilities and talents are more likely to succeed and this is seen everywhere in the world regardless of culture,religion or type of government. For instance individuals with good leadership skills always stand out and are more likely to lead likewise individuals with good business skills are more likely to be business moguls.
Folkway refers to a traditional way of life that generally accepted by a social group. In a classroom setting, the folkway for Gadget use is allowed as long as it support your education. Using social media while ignoring the lesson would be considered as a violation for this folkway.
