The correct answer is A) Shays' Rebellion.

After the end of the American Revolution, many small landholders, including soldiers who fought for American independence, found themselves unable to pay the massive debt. European investors in the Revolution demanded payment in gold and silver, and wealthy businessmen tried to pry repayment from rural farmers. The farmers responded with the Shays' Rebellion.

People from Massachusets led by former Revolutionary War Soldier Daniel Shay attacked public buildings and courthouses in 1786. These people were poor farmers that did not want policies that made them lose their properties. By September 1786, Shays led 600 men to shut down the court in the city of Springfield, Massachusetts.

1.) Why did white Southern Democrats disenfranchise black men with things like the Jim Crow Laws?
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

C.) They wanted to encourage literacy among formerly enslaved African Americans.

Explanation:

Jim Crow Laws was implemented between the phase of Reconstruction and Civil Rights movement. This law ensured the segregation of rights for the coloured and white men.

This law was based on equal but separate principle where there were separate facilities for coloured and white men. Black people could work in government agencies but were allowed minor posts for the job.

Later supreme court passed law to eliminate segregation in certain fields, but the segregation was eliminated by law only after the civil rights movement.
