Answer:

The correct answer is The narrator feels conflicted about wearing a veil.

Explanation:

Marjane has conflicting feelings towards the use of the veil.

She and her friends don't like the veil, and they don't understand why they force them to wear it.

Marjane likes to play with her friends, pretending they are revolutionary people, and even her mother goes to a protest without wearing the veil and is photographed, which creates fear that someone will recognize her through photographs.

Despite being young, Marjane wants to attend the protests, but her parents don't allow it.

The whole theme with the mandatory use of the veil generates mixed feelings in the protagonist, who states: 'We found ourselves veiled and separated from our friends."

What does the analogy "between women being citizens without the right to vote and sitting in a row boat without any oars mean?
Llana [10]
What it is saying is it is like having a peanut butter jelly sandwich without the bread. It is ridiculous and something that is needed to make a whole of something. So like per say, you have a teddy bear but you buy that teddy bear but it has no filling in it. So it's like claiming to be a car salesman, without the cars. I hope this helps, sorry if it doesn't make sense.

Does exercising self-control make us more or less likely to achieve our goals? Explain.
hram777 [196]
Exercising self-control does make us more likely to achieve our goals due to the reason that self-control helps with decision making and how to make the smartest decisions. Not only that but it also helps with restraining from doing things you know you’re not supposed to do. So to achieve your goal you need self-control to make sure you don’t get off that path of maintaining your goal.
