Answer:

Consumers demonstrate a loss of confidence in the stock market

Many shareholders buy stocks on margin

Explanation:

If the the stock market suddenly drops, it's a clear sign that something bad is about to happen. Buying on a margin was one of the things that the Federal Reserve was desperately trying to control because it was causing problems. And also, if the consumers lose confidence on the stock market, there must be a reason behind it.

Money was more difficult to use in trade than bartering had been. TrueFalse
erik [133]

I would consider that statement false.

Although bartering could be considered a more common action, in time trading with money started to be also accepted. So thinking that money was harder to use in commerce than bartering would not be entirely true, depending on the time we're talking about, of course.

Hope it helps!

How did the relationship between great britain and the united states change from 1800-1848?
Paladinen [302]
The War of 1812.

A war between the US and G. Britain caused by American outrage over the impressment of American sailors by the British, the seizing of American ships, and British aid to the Native Indians attacking the Americans on the western frontier. All this enhances the feeling of nationalism among the Americans and caused the war of 1812.

How did Southern states impose segregation and deny African Americans their rights following the Civil War?
Yuri [45]
They wanted the African Americans because to them, they had always been 'property' and had been doing their work for them for free. And without them, they wouldn't have workers.
