Glinda tells the Wicked Witch, "Be gone before somebody drops a house on you!" Which word in her sentence is a subordinating con
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

Before.

Explanation:

Subordinating conjunctions are those types of conjunctions that act as the joining words for an independent clause and a dependent clause. From the above provided sentence,

Glinda tells the Wicked Witch, "Be gone <u>before </u><em>somebody drops a house on you!</em>"

the bolded words "Be gone" is the independent clause while the bold, italicized words <em>"somebody drops a house on you!" is the dependent clause</em>. And in between these two clauses is the word <u>"before'</u> which is a conjunction. This <u>is the subordinating conjunction. </u>

In the story "The Neglected Senses", what does Choden think caused her blindness?
quester [9]

Answer:

Choden believed that when her mother was pregnant with her, a cow kicked her mother's stomach and that led to her blindness.

Explanation:

Choden was a young blind girl who was <em>pink-cheeked</em> and <em>loves to smile.</em> She was one year younger than Yangchen, who was also blind. It is said that most of the time, her eyes were shut but sometimes, s<em>he would open her left eye </em>as if it were consuming the color and light that it sees.

Choden responded to the narrator when asked about what caused her blindness while Choden and Yangchen were guiding the narrator. This belief of hers shows how Tibetan people were conscious about <em>reincarnation</em> and<em> karma. </em>

So, this explains the answer.
