The president decided to change his plans because he wanted the war to be over with, If the us was to invade ALL of japan then it would’ve taken so many more years because of the constant fighting and the is didn’t want to take on more casualties than they already had. Thus, he chose two cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki as his choices. Considering they were the two largest cities. When they had dropped it there were so many civilian and possibly military casualties that Japan decided to surrender to America because they possibly thought that the USA had more nuclear weapons. Therefore ending the war with the axis powers.

Which Of The Following Best Explains Why The North Supported High Tariffs On <br> foreign goods
-BARSIC- [3]
Here is an explanation of tariffs. Since I can't see the statements for this question, you can use the following information to help.

Tariffs are a tax on an imported goods. These tariffs cause the price of foreign goods to increase. Many businesses, especially in the North, like the idea of tariffs because it makes more likely that citizens will buy products made by them rather than buying products made in other countries. Ultimately, a tariff helps to protect American industry/businesses.

Peasants who survived the plague were able to get higher wages for their work. Why were they able to get these higher wages?
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

Peasants were now able to demand higher wages and better working conditions as landlords were not able to replace them with as much ease as previously. As a result peasants would be able to afford better living conditions'. After the plagues land and corn were plentiful, rents and restrictions reduced and standards of living improved.
