Factor out common terms first.
Common \ terms \ are:  \ 20 \ in \ 100 \ and \ 40. \\
 x^2 \ in  \ x^2 \ and  \ x^3 \\
y^2 \ in \ y^5 \ and \ y^2. \\
So \ GCD=20x^2y^2

Answer: GCD= 20 x² y²
