Columbus day should not be celebrated as it has been in the past rather, it should be a day to commemorate the indigenous people of the land from which Columbus stole. To celebrate Columbus and his "discoveries" would be to celebrate racist genocide, land robbery, barbaric slavery, r.ape, and systemic torture.

I don’t think Columbus Day should be celebrated because it brought much pain and suffering to the natives with killings and diseases. They also stole goods from the natives. Also the natives initially where the first ones in America
