Answer:

The length is 18 Cm

The Width Is 6 Cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Write an equation

so perimeter is

2L+2W=P

In this case the perimeter is 48 and one side is 12 cm longer so let’s make the unknown side W, and L as 12+w since the longer side is 12cm longer then the unknown side.

Equation:

2(12+W)+2W=48

Combine like terms and solve the equation

24+4W=48 (I distributed then combined like terms)

Subtract 24 on both sides

4W=24

Isolate the variable by dividing 4 on both sides

W=6

Check:

2(12+6)+2(6)=48?

24+12+12=48✔️

L=W+12
2L+2W=48
2(W+12)+2W=48
2W+24+2W=48
4W=48-24
4W=24
W=24/4
W=6 ANS. FOR THE WIDTH.
L=6+12=18 ANS. FOR THE LENGTH.
PROOF:
2*18+2*6=48
36+12=48
48=48

Hope this helps:)

The inverse, converse and contrapositive of a statement are used to determine the true values of the statement

How to determine the inverse, converse and contrapositive

As a general rule, we have:

If a conditional statement is: If p , then q .

Then:

 • Inverse -> If not p , then not q .
 • Converse -> If q , then p .
 • Contrapositive -> If not q , then not p .

Using the above rule, we have:

Statement 1

 • Inverse: If a parallelogram does not have a right angle, then it is not a rectangle.
 • Converse: If a parallelogram is a rectangle, then it has a right angle.
 • Contrapositive: If a parallelogram is a not rectangle, then it does not have a right angle.

All three statements above are true

Statement 2

 • Inverse: If two angles of one triangle are not congruent to two angles of another, then the third angles are not congruent.
 • Converse: If the third angles of two triangle are congruent, then the two angles are congruent to two angles of another
 • Contrapositive: If the third angles of two triangle are not congruent, then the two angles are not congruent to two angles of another

All three statements above are also true
