US involvement on the Vietnamese conflict was undertaken in 1960, during the Kennedy administration. This conflict excedeed the national level and became proxy war embodied in the larger Cold War conflict.
The US decided to support South Vietnam in the civil war, together with South Korea, Australia and other anti-communist allied countries, while North Korea was supported by the Soviet Union, China, and other countries that were part of the communist sphere.
colonists thought that they should not pay taxes, because they were passed in England by Parliament. They protested, saying that these taxes violated their rights as British citizens. The colonists started to resist by boycotting, or not buying, British goods.
