A competition can lead to direct wars/fights between members of populations, in which people (or animals) will die (if there is only limited food, only limited number of people can survive...). So a competition for water in a very dry area can directly lead to deaths.

Alternatively, those that loose the competition might die as a result of not getting the resource they were competing over.

This scenario of Roger being beaten up and not one of the 15 people actually helping Roger perfectly illustrates that which is called the diffusion of responsibility. This is a sociopsychological phenomenon that occurs when there is a group of people and it means that the person is less likely to help and take responsibility or irresponsibility, either one, when other people are present.

Lesotho is the richest country in Africa, Is this true or false?
stiv31 [10]

Answer: This is false statement.

Explanation:

Different ways are used to differentiate how wealthy the country is as compared to other countries .

The most common method used to determine this is by looking at the purchasing gross domestic product of the country. Purchasing GDP refers to the price value of all the goods and services received per year.

Based on the world population review using this method the top richest countries in Africa are as follows.

Egypt

Nigeria

South Africa

Algeria

Morocco.

Another method used is to look at the nominal GDP per capita.

This methods works with the overall value of the goods and services over the population; this gives an idea of how much each person in a country makes.

Based on this method Seychelles takes number one and followed by Equatorial Guinea as number two.

And the following countries .

Mauritius

Gabon

Botswana

South Africa

Namibia

Libya

From the list above one can see that Lesotho doesn't come any closer and based on the world population review it only has 3.869 GDP which put it below approximately 20 African countries.

Economy of Lesotho overview:

Lesotho is highly dependent on South Africa for most of their economic services. They agricultural production is also poor due to its vulnerability to harsh weather conditions that changes drastically every now and then.

All the goods that Lesotho uses has them imported from South Africa and almost 85% of their goods are from South Africa. Citizens of Lesotho are also dependent on the mines in South Africa in order to provide for their families so it is still struggling economically to make ends meet on its own as a country .

Diminished responsibility

Explanation:

Diminished liability in criminal justice is a possible mitigation by argument under which offenders contend that if they violate the statute, they will not be considered entirely responsible for doing so because their intellectual capacities have been "reduced" or damaged. Decreased capability is a partial defense against charges which allow the defendant to behave in a specific mental state.

List two pros and cons of the US going to war with Mexico.
pychu [463]

Answer:

The act of the U.S.A in going to war with Mexico proved advantageous in terms of allowing the nation to continue its territorial expansion as it was envisioned by President Polk. It also proved the strength of the U.S. in terms of "patriotism."

On the contrary, the act of the U.S.A. in going to war with Mexico cost the country a lot of money and loss of many lives. It also <u>worsened the issue about </u><u>"slavery." </u>

Explanation:

The "Mexican-American War" occurred from<em> 1846 to 1848.</em> The war started because of the annexation of Texas.

The U.S. believed that annexing Texas would allow them to <em>expand their territories,</em> however, the<em> Mexican government</em> did not recognize such event. They even p<em>revented diplomatic relationship </em>with the Americans when the Americans attempted to settle the issue with them.
