(2^6)=1
take log on both sides,
xlog(2^6)=log(1)=0
=>
x=0, since log(2^6)>0

5^0=1
there is no value of x appearing in the equation, so x can be any valid number.

The perimeter of the figure is 58 units

The area of the figure is 130 unit square

Your question is not properly formatted and the diagram required to solve the question is missing.

I've included the appropriate diagram.

To calculate the perimeter of the shape, we simply add up the side lengths of the visible parts of the figure.

Having said that, the perimeter is:

Perimeter = 7 + 8 + 5 + 8 + 3 + 6 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 6

Perimeter = 58

To calculate the area, we use a different approach.

First, we split the figure into 3, we then calculate the area of each sub-figure, and then we add up the calculated areas.

From left to right, we have:

Rectangle 1

Length = 7\\Width = 6

Rectangle 2

Length = 5\\Width = 6+8 = 14

Rectangle 3

Length = 3\\Width = 6

The area of a rectangle is:

Area = Length * Width

So, the area of the figure is:

Area = 7 * 6 + 5 * 14 + 3 * 6

Area = 130

Imagine a chemist is in the lab and trying to make some chemical reactions happen. In one reaction she reacts chemicals in an exothermic reaction and there is an increase in entropy. A second chemical reaction she is trying to run is endothermic and there is a decrease in entropy. Which of the two reactions is more likely to occur and why?

The area of a square is:

A=s^2, solve this for s

s=√A

The "diagonal" is the hypotenuse of a right triangle with legs of length s.

By the Pythagorean Theorem:

d=√(s^2+s^2)

d=√(2s^2), and since we found that s=√A earlier:

d=√(2A), and since we are told that A=128m^2

d=√256

d=16m
