Why did the dictators/military leaders find widespread support among the people of their nation?

History
1 answer:
sveta [45]3 years ago
7 0
Most dictators, like Fidel Castro or Stalin, came to power by helping overthrow the previous government. They take leadership because usually they led the revolution, and after that, they enforce propaganda to make the people think that their country is the best in the world and that everyone has it really good. Most people in a dictated country are really unhappy, and they either revolt or just let themselves get beat down.

After capturing Moscow, napoleons army was forced to retreat by___
Vilka [71]

Answer: B. Russia’s location and climate

Napoleon’s Grande Armée did not expect the cold climate in Russia to be so brutal. The French soldiers were also starving because the routes to supply were too long and difficult. Napoleon thought initially that he would quickly destroy the Russian army , but these constantly slipped away so the French army had to catch up with them in that vast and outstretched land.

Is a secular outlook on the world an essentially modern phenomenon, or does it have precedents in the second-wave era?
Pepsi [2]
It seems like we have a number of precedents in the past as well. For example Confucianism is a popular philosophy found in Chinese culture, looking at the teachings given by the Confucius it seems it had more of a practical and worldly approach than religious, the reason why Chinese elite were struck by the phenomenon. Another example is of Greek rationalism from where even the modern Western philosophy and secular thoughts seem to emerge. According to this religion had its own dominion separating scientific and philosophical issues. Similarly, legalism can be another example.
