David did not have time to wait for the elevator on the first floor of the building so he decided to go up the stairs. If it took him 2 minutes to get to the third floor, how long will it take him to get to the ninth floor?

So do 3 * 3 equals 9 and do the same thing to the minutes. So 2 * 3 equals 6. So it takes 6 minutes for David to reach the 9th floor.

Also if that ^ ain’t correct, then here:

3/2 = 1.5 < minute per floor

1.5 * 9 < that’s the ninth floor

= 13.5

So it takes him 13.5 minutes to reach the ninth floor

It’ll take him Six minutes to reach the ninth floor.

2 for three (third floor)
Another 2 for the next three (sixth floor)
Another 2 for the last three (ninth floor)

Which in total is six minutes.
