Using (n-2)180 to find total number of degrees in a 5-sided shape
n= number of sides

(5-2)180=540degrees

So to find x, 100+160+80= 340
540-340=200

So 8x+8+5x+10=200 and solve for x

If f(x)=-3x+3, then f^-1 (x)=____<br> Please help
fgiga [73]

Answer:

y = (-x/3) +1   or y = (-1/3 * x) + 1

Step-by-step explanation:

For the inverse of a function, you invert the y and x positions.

In your case:

y = -3x+3

The inverted function is:

x = -3y+3

When you solve this for y, you get:

-3y = x-3

y = -x/3 +1

Find the value of the cosine for ZA.
baherus [9]

Answer:

C. \frac{8\sqrt{89}}{89}

Step-by-step explanation:

Cos A = Adj/Hyp

Reference angle = <A

Adjacent side = 8 ft

Hypotenuse = √(8² + 5²) = √89 (pythagorean theorem)

Thus:

Cos (A) = \frac{8}{\sqrt{89}}

Rationalize

Cos (A) = \frac{8 * \sqrt{89}}{\sqrt{89} * \sqrt{89}}

Cos (A) = \frac{8\sqrt{89}}{89}
