She would have traveled 24 miles since from the house to the supermarket is 7 miles then from the supermarket to the municipal building is 5 miles then back 7 miles and then 5 miles. If you add all of that together then you will get 24 miles.

75 percent of 88 is the same as 60 percent of what number?
tangare [24]
First we need to know 75% of 88.
To find this number we multiply 88 by 0.75.
Hence, 0.75 * 88 = 66

Therefore, 60% of a certain number equals 66.
Then 1% of that certain number equals 66 / 60
Finally, to find our number (which equals 100%) we multiply by 100.
So 66 / 60 * 100 = 110.

Hence, 75 percent of 88 is the same as 60 percent of 110.

Ln a+3 + ln a-3 = ln 16
Lilit [14]
\bf log_{{  a}}(xy)\implies log_{{  a}}(x)+log_{{  a}}(y)\\\\
and\qquad \textit{difference of squares}

(a-b)(a+b) = a^2-b^2\qquad \qquad
a^2-b^2 = (a-b)(a+b)\\\\

ln(a+3)+ln(a-3)=ln(16)\implies ln[(a+3)(a-3)]=ln(16)

a^2-9=16\implies a^2=16+9\implies a^2=25

a=\pm\sqrt{25}\implies a=\pm 5
