Amoebas for example, simply extend part of their cell in something that looks like a false foot (a pseudopod) and so it extends over the area looking for food. Other unicellular organisma have one or more flagella which are whip like organelles and their movement allows them to slide from one place to another. A third kind of unicellular organism has cilia all around their cell membrane. Cilia are like whiplashes and when they move back and forth they resemble paddles on a boat. Chloroplast is a type of plastid that can be distinguished from other plastids due to its green color. Chloroplast is the only plastid that contains chlorophylls a and b, thus its green color.
