What does the fact that Agatha feels she has to run away in order to avoid marriage reveal about Ancient Greek culture
zimovet [89]

Agatha feels she has to run away to avoid marriage because she doesn't have a choice. She is not allowed to choose who she marries. This shows that in Ancient Greek culture marriages were arranged for the women. They were not given a choice to marry for love. Also, this shows that marriage is something that is expected once a person reaches a certain age.

Reread lines 141-172 to draw conclusions about the author’s attitude clothing when he was a teenager. What does he mean when he
Sphinxa [80]

Answer:

The story "One Last Time" describes the life of a young man who goes by the name Gary Soto. Gary was born into a poor family, most of his family members were all labourers who worked all day in the field.

The workers spend all day working under the hot sun, their main job is to pick fruits that have just been harvested. At the end of each day's work they are paid a small amount of money which is never enough to buy the things that they really need.

When he was still a teenager, Gary was greatly troubled about the type of clothes he wears, this is because he felt that the people in the town might look down on him due to the haggard clothes he was fond of putting on.

According to the passage when he says " I worked like a magician" he is trying to create a false impression that he has lots of good clothes packed in his bags when in reality he doesn't have any.

Change the sentence who helps you when you are in need into passive voice.
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

When you are in need, who helps you?

Explanation:

Basically, when using passive voice, the receiver of the action is first, and in this case, its you receiving the help or you could say that the person is helping you. The doer of the action is after that, and the doer would he whoever helps, or in this case, its Who helps.

I hope this helps haha.
