Solutions

1) Find the least common denominator of 7/10 and 1/5.
10: 10
5 : 5 , 10
The least common denominator is 10.

2) Make the denominator of 1/5 to 10. Multiply numerator and denominator by 2.

1 x 2 = 2
5 x 2 = 10

3) New fraction
7/10 + 2/10

4) Add
7+2 = 9

9/10 is answer

9/10 can not be simplified. It is already in reduced form.

Hi, can someone help explain this. (Triangle similarity/10th grade)
scZoUnD [109]
This is one proportion that can be created from the given information \frac{36}{24} = \frac{6x-6}{3x+7}.

You would then use cross product to solve it. Also reduce 36/24 to 3/2
3(3x + 7) = 2(6x - 6)
9x + 21 = 12x - 12
33 = 3x                   I subtracted 9x from both sides and added 12 to both sides
11 = x

A square has an area of 49cm^2. What is the length of each side.
Vsevolod [243]

Answer:

7 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for finding the area of a square is A = a^2 (where a is the side length).

So let's substitute the given values in.

49 = a^2

a = sqrt(49)

a = 7 cm          <--- This is our answer

Hope this helps!
