In 1992, after videos of how police officers are beating up an unarmed African American man went public, the African American community was enraged. This all escalated after the police officers were released by the court and were not sentenced as they should have been. The African American community than started rioting. The riots didn't lasted for very long and were stopped by the police and the special forces, but by the time they were stopped, there were 63 dead, 2,383 injured, and over one billion dollars of damage done. 12,111 people were arrested.
