How many times does he have to drive 160 miles in order to cover 880 ?

880/160 = 5.5 times

He'll need  5 complete tanks of gas, and 1/2 of another one.

Help Please, anyone good at domain values of composite functions.
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

second choice

Step-by-step explanation:

(f \circ g)(x) =

= f(g(x))

= f(-7x + 7)

= \sqrt{-7x + 7 + 3}

= \sqrt{-7x + 10}

Let x = 5:

(f \circ g)(5) = \sqrt{-7(5) + 10}

(f \circ g)(5) = \sqrt{-35 + 10}

(f \circ g)(5) = \sqrt{-25}

Since using x = 5 gives the square root of a negative number, 5 is not in the domain of the composition of the functions.

What are the prime factors of 625
kobusy [5.1K]
Let's see what we can get by dividing 625 by 5, as it ends with a 5:
625/5 = 125
So we have 5 as one of our factors. Let's divide again by 5:
125/5 = 25
Our current prime factors now are 5 and 5, but we aren't finished. Divide again by 5:
25/5 = 5
Now we know that the prime factorization of 625 is 5 * 5 * 5 * 5, which can also be shown as 5⁴.

Abby used the quadratic formula to find the zeros of the
MArishka [77]

Step 2: She did not simplify under the square root correctly

under the square root:

(-6)^2 =36

and -4(5)(-8) =160

therefore under the square root it needs to be square root of 36+160 which is square root of 196.

That answer is 14 when square rooted
