t, explain the connection between the two texts.
Question 9 options:

In both texts, the lovers are forbidden to be together, and when they finally plan to be together, they end up taking their own lives. This tragedy was no original to Shakespeare but is derived from ancient texts.

Romeo and Juliet is about a young couple who fall in love and get married over the course of a couple days. Tragically, the take their own lives at the end because their families will not allow them to be together.

Romeo had seen Juliet from across the cafeteria and knew she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen. Unfortunately, his dad had warned him that Juliet was off limits because her father was a political rival.

What theme does this event from “The Necklace” support?
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

Unhappy people are never satisfied.

Explanation:

According to the given excerpt from "The Necklace", there's a conversation between two people who I assume to be a couple. From their discussion, the man got her a piece of clothing that he went to great trouble to get so she could wear it for a party but she was not pleased and spoke angrily to him.

Based on this, the theme that it likely supports is that unhappy people are never satisfied.
