A hypothesis is a vital part of not only the scientific method but in experimenting, whether or not you are familiar with the method. A hypothesis is important, because by stating your perspective and percieving on the topic you are able to build on that, despite how much it may be wrong or how much it may be right. It's the first step to forming a final conclusion. With a hypothesis you can fully build and construct the final results and conclusion to any experiment or topic you are focusing on.

grigory [225]

Answer:

Apple tree and grass are producers, mushroom and bacteria are decomposers, and everything else are consumers. The bear is herbivore I believe, the rabbit is as well to my understanding. The pig is omnivore and lion is carnivore.

Explanation:

Starting with producers, most plants are producers. They photosynthesize to make their own food (glucose). Decomposers break things down like dead animals. Carnivores eat only meat, which is what a lion does. It eats no plants. The pig is an omnivore, meaning that it eats both meat AND plants. Lastly, the bear and rabbit are herbivores meaning that they only eat plants. I always remember it as "HERBivore which sounds like HERBS which are plants" Hope this helps!

Explain the difference between a monohybrid cross and a dihybrid cross, and give an example of each.
Kay [80]
Monohybrid crosses only look at one genotype. Whereas dihybrid crosses look at two genotypes.
An example of a monohybrid cross would be AA x aa, where A represents the dominant allele, and its phenotype is the colour red, and a represents the recessive allele, and its phenotype is the colour white.
An example of a dihybrid cross would be SSYY x SsYy, where the letter S represents the size, dominant phenotype is large, recessive is small, and Y represents the colour, dominant phenotype is yellow, recessive is green.
