Explanation:

The colony of Jamestown was different from other colonies is that unlike others it had legal permission granted by the king James First of England. The migrants were entrepreneurs from London. The main reason for them going to the Jamestown was to make money. King James wanted to lay claim to the New World and hence sent expeditions for it.

The initial settlers were not suited for Jamestown. Most of them were gentlemen not habitual of manual labor. Many settlers died due to disease and starvation. A few days after their arrival they were attacked by the Paspahegh Indians. None of the colonists knew how to use weapon.
