Shakespeare uses alliteration, end rhyme and onomatopoeia in his poem. Alliteration is the repetition of the same sound a the beginning of a group of words. An example of this is the first line: "Full fathom five thy father lies". The /f/ sound is repeated. He also uses end rhyme in his poem to create the rhyme scheme ABABCCDED.
