Flat affect is reduced in terms of social interaction and emotional blunt or reduced and very less emotional reactivity towards any other people.
Roger's affect is flat as he shows a lesser effect. He is displaying no emotional reaction on people and incidents occur in his life. It is normally due to post-traumatic stress disorder.
