You can make a proportion
5       250
--- = ------
8        x

then cross multiply and divide.  8 times 250 =2000/5=400

250 miles are 400 km

5 miles ... 8 km
250 miles ... x km = ?

If you would like to know how many km equals to 250 miles, you can calculate this using the following steps:

5 * x = 8 * 250    /5
x = 8 * 250 / 5
x = 400 km

The correct result would be 400 km.

How to simplify this problem.... it’s part of integer operations
pentagon [3]
To simplify you use order of operations or PEMDAS
P- Parenthesis
E- Exponents
M- Multiplication
A- addition
S- Subtraction
8-6(3)+13

There's parenthesis so the first thing we have to do is multiply 6 by three which is 18 so then our expression is

8-18+13

since it's just subtraction and addition you can go in any order

8-31

-23

-23 is your answer
