England's first documented contact with the new world occurred in 1620.

Explanation:

The term ''New World'' was created at the beginning of the 16^{th} century, after the era that discovery by Europeans in America. European countries have come to America to increase their wealth and increase their influence on world affairs. Many people who settled in the New World came to avoid religious persecution. England was not the most powerful nation in Europe in the 16^{th} century.

Spain was the most influential. In the 90’s after Columbus, Spain dominated with Portugal in discovering the New World. France, Netherlands and Sweden were more interested in the western hemisphere than in England. The Mayflower Compact signed on a ship en route from England to the New World and pledged to be loyal to the king to abide by such honest and laws that govern the common good of the colonies after the land has landed.

find the area of triangle ABC. ROUND YOUR ANSWER TO THE NEAREST TENTH. m angle B=87degrees, a=10.1, c=9.8 a. 44.5 b. 33.6 c. 49.
Lilit [14]
1st, let's calculate the side AB = c in applying the law of cosine:

AC² = BC²+AC² - 2AB.BC. cos87°)
c²= 10.1²+9.8²-2(10.1)(9.8)(cos(87)
c²=102.01 + 96.04 -196.96cos(87)
c² = 187.74 and c = 13.7
Having calculated the 3rd side, now we can apply Heron's formula for the area:
AREA = √p(p-a)(p-b)(p-c), where p is half the perimeter or p=(a+b+c)/2 =16.8

AREA = √16.8(16.8-10.1)(16.8-9.8)(16.8-13.7)
AREA = 49.42 OR 49.4 unit²

All of the following are the effects of a culture of poverty EXCEPT
o-na [289]

Answer:

High taxes and few services.

Explanation:

High taxes and few services is not an effect of the culture of poverty, but of the mismanagement of a government's fiscal resources. Thus, the high amount or value of taxes paid by citizens, combined with little or poor provision of public services, is a clear sign that the government, at the very least, is using public funds improperly, not even to mention possible cases of corruption and embezzlement of public funds.
