Answer:

5=√ x+7

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the original square flower bed = x

Side length of the new square flower bed = 5 feet

Area of the new square flower bed = (x+7)

5^2 =(x+7) (area of a square = side2)

5=√ x+7

Sorry I'm dum,b and don't know scientific notation very well please explain for brainly =D
yuradex [85]
The simplest I can put it

10^1 = 10
10^2 = 100
10^3 = 1000
(essentially the number of zeroes)

5*10^2 = 5*100 = 500 (adding 2 zeroes, or moving the decimal over 2 places

Same works for numbers smaller than zero

5*10^-2 = 5*.01 = .05 (moving the decimal to the right 2 places

13
R
S
12
What's the length of QR?
A) 1
B) 17.7
C) 6.7
OD) 5
ANEK [815]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a right triangle, so we can use the Pythagorean theorem

a^2+b^2 = c^2

where a and b are the legs and c is the hypotenuse

QR^2 + 12^2 = 13^2

QR^2 +144 =169

QR^2 = 169-144

QR^2 =25

Take the square root of each side

QR = sqrt(25)

QR =5
