Osiris was a god of the dead. He let the dead ghosts  of people into their afterlife. He chose to send them down, or let them stay balanced.

Barbed wire limited the open range which limited the freedom of ranchers and cowboys. It also kept the cattle from breaking through. This also caused a lot of dispute between ranchers because before the barbed wire it was open range and with the invention of barbed wire they felt there cattle was cut off from necessities.
