A positive integer squared plus 3 times it’s consecutive integer is equal to 43
Eduardwww [97]

Answer:

the integer is 5

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2+3(x+1)=43

x^2+3x+3=43

x^2+3x+(9/4)=43-3+(9/4)

(x+(3/2))^2=42 1/4

x+(3/2)=sqrt(42 1/4)

x+(3/2)=6 1/2

x=(6 1/2)-(3/2)

x=5

check:

5^2+3(6)=43

25+18=43

43=43

Best explained/correct answer gets brainliest.
Nuetrik [128]
3, 15, 75, 375, and here's why:
Basically, it's asking you to take 3, and multiply it by five each time to get a pattern.

1: 3
2:
3*5 = 15
3:
15*5 = 75
4:
75*5 = 375

Add these together:
3 + 15 + 75 + 375 = 468

Your answer is "A)", 468.

How to find nth term of a sequence in math?
worty [1.4K]
Salutations!

To find the nth term, you will be needing a formula.

a +(n-1) *d

a stands for the first term (first number in the sequence)

d stands for the difference between two terms. (always remember to subtract from the 2nd term to the 1st term)

and the n is what we are going to find

so in your sequence: 5, 10, 15, 20

5 is a (as it is the first term)

d would be 5 ( 10 -5 =5)

a+(n-1)*d

5+ (n-1) *5

5+5n-5

5n+0

your nth term is 5n+0

Hope this helps!

Have a great day!
