Mama's plant symbolizes the survival of her children in difficult circumstances,  since she nurture's it, even though it's wilting and until the end, she loves it unconditionally, just like she loves her family and instead of giving up, she does all she can for it and has faith that one day in the future it will truly thrive.

Well, it could either be metaphor for something (I'm not sure, I haven't read the poem) or 'alliteration', because G is repeated often. The rest of the options aren't possible, because there is nothing ironic here, nor is there a simile, or a metonymy.
