Active reading is a comprehensive process that requires persistence and perseverance as it involves reading with a resolution to understand, evaluate, and interpret a text as per the requirements. The three steps included in active reading are pre-reading, reading, and reviewing.Pre-reading helps to scoop off the key ideas reflected in a text before actually meticulously reading it while reading will assist to go through the content and understand the ideas actually presented in the text and reviewing would aid to evaluate the text and taking notes of the important ideas. Thus, these three as displayed in <u>option D</u> are the crucial stages in active-reading.
