The water pollution in Central Asia is a huge problem, especially with the fact that a big portion of it is an arid and semi arid area with little fresh water. The main pollution comes from the salt, mismanagement of agriculture and factories like the Tajik aluminium factory TALCO. This pollution causes people to have shorter life spans, very big infant mortality, destruction of crops, huge economic damage. If we compare this with the pollution in East Asia, we will see some similarities, like the pollution from the factories, but not the pollution from mismanaging agriculture (which is on a much higher level) or salt.
